This is one of our favourite places! Delicious, fresh and a great meal to take-out and eat by the pool. It's a short walk up the hill from our casa. They serve traditional Baja "fast food" in a clean location with a large selection of fresh salsas and condiments. Friendly service. Carnitas - fried pork, fish & shrimp tacos during the day, grilled beef and papas rellenas - stuffed potatoes at night. Open 8 a.m. - 12 p.m., closed Tuesday.

Hot Dog Stands

Hot dog vendors can be found on many street corners from sunset until around 11 p.m. They serve turkey dogs wrapped in bacon on steamed buns. (Ask for yours sin tocino to hold the bacon.) Toppings include mustard, catsup, tomato, onion, chile and crema. Some vendors also offer hamburgers or beef burritos.

Street Side Stands

There are many small stands that serve well known Mexican dishes like tacos, quesadillas, and seafood. Others serve lesser know meals like birria - goat stew, tacos de cabeza - tacos made from cow's brain and tongue, menudo - tripe, and machaca - dried shredded beef or fish.
